Maiden’s Hope Update
Our students just finished their school year with many receiving awards for achievements and attendance. We are very proud of them for working so hard. Jonaleth, one of our original students, just graduated from High School this year too! She is planning to continue her studies at the university and will be working towards obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation.
Thanks to our dedicated sponsors, Maiden’s Hope has continued to grow. We now have a total of 23 students in our program. Four of them are currently attending college. The other students cover every grade from just finishing kindergarten to new seniors in high school. We have 7 students living in the Maiden’s Hope home and the remainder of our students live with their family members.
We have also added a few young men to our program. Although our primary focus continues to be young ladies, we have had some teenage boys recommended to our program. We felt that if God brought them to us, then we should include them. They also are in need of an education and to know the Lord and we are blessed to have them in the program.
All of our students receive a weekly food distribution for their family and have their school supplies, tuition and uniform costs covered by Maiden’s Hope. This allows them to focus on their education.
In addition to their schooling, all students are strongly encouraged to participate in one of the local Christian churches. Since our students are spread out, they are currently attending 3 different local churches. It has been a tremendous blessing to see them growing in their faith and several of the students were recently baptized! Many of our students have also become involved in ministry at their churches, serving in music ministry, children’s church teachers and assistants and outreach ministry. God is using them in many ways as they continue to grow in their faith.

Upcoming Activities!
Although the school year has just ended in the Philippines, our students will only have a short break this year. This is because they are returning to the pre-Covid school schedule. Consequently, they will be starting school again in mid-June. It will be a busy time getting their school supplies and uniforms ready to start the new school year.
Have you heard about our Spring Flower Bulb Fundraiser? This year you can beautify your yard and support Maiden’s Hope at the same time. Just order your flower bulbs and summer flower mats/seeds here: http://MaidensHope.fpfundraising.com. But hurry, the last day to order is May 14th. Your order will ship as soon as your order is processed so you don’t have to wait long!
Our other upcoming event is the 6th Annual Maiden’s Hope Golf Outing to be held at Fox Den Golf Course in Stow, Ohio on July 13, 2025. Registration has just started so you can register individually or as a team here: Maiden’s Hope Golf Outing Registration. Prayer Requests and Praises
Please continue to pray for the Maiden’s Hope students and Pastor Rey and Pastora Mercy who oversee our program in the Philippines. It is not an easy task to “raise” a family of 23 students in addition to their own children!
Please also include Paulo in your prayers as he juggles his own college studies and assists Pastor and Pastora with the weekly food shopping and distribution.
Pray for Godly wisdom and guidance as we continue to follow God’s leadership in the Maiden’s Hope program.
Please pray that God will continue to work in the hearts of our students. That He would guide them to make wise choices and to protect them from the many temptations that surround them daily. We praise Him for the spiritual growth we have seen in our students.
We are very thankful that God has blessed us with the approval of our application to be a registered 501(c)3 organization.
Thank you for your participation in Maiden’s Hope and the blessings you provide to these young students.
